FaithHealth in Action (FHIA) came to be in July 2016.  It is a partnership between the Carol Milgard Breast Center and African American churches here in Tacoma, WA.  The program aims to increase awareness about breast and prostate cancer among African American men and women.  FaithHealth in Action supports these churches by providing training for Health Ministers, customized outreach materials and financial resources.

Altheimer Memorial Church joined the FaithHealth in Action program in August 2018.  Since joining, our Health Ministry Team has presented various health topics to our congregation.  Each month we have a chosen health topic that we present and provide valuable information on.  The goal of this page is to bring all of these resources together in one place for anyone who desires it.  Feel free to reach out to us if there is any information you need.
